After several successful years in the automobile business, Bill McCoy came to Muncie, Indiana in November 1979 to open Bill McCoy Ford. While dealerships all over the country closed in times of high interest rates and inflation, Bill knew that success could be realized with dedication, determination and teamwork. Combining this with his vast experience, Bill created a winning formula. In 1981, he took over a fledgling Lincoln-Mercury dealership in east central Indiana to form the largest Ford-Lincoln-Mercury dealership east of the Mississippi, and by 1987, it was the number one retail truck dealer in the state of Indiana. Today, Mike McCoy and Rod Vaughn, both members of the team established in 1979, adhere to the same formula and beliefs Bill McCoy initiated over 26 years ago. Dedication, determination, and teamwork continue to be the guidelines which have resulted in Bill McCoy Ford-Lincoln-Mercury becoming one of the country's top dealers.
